A304KSG Aluminium Swivel Hook, Screw Gate

A304KSG is the screw-gate member of the A304 swivel hook series. The body is aluminium alloy, 180.9 x 79.7 mm, and the listed breaking strength is 25 kN. A screw gate is locked by hand: after closing the gate, the user turns the threaded sleeve until it covers the gate nose.

Because locking depends on the user, screw gates are usually placed where the connection is not opened often, such as the attachment between a self-retracting lifeline and its anchor, or a lanyard and a fixed structure that is used for a whole shift. The swivel head lets the line rotate as the worker moves, so webbing and cable do not twist.

Before ordering, request the gate opening and weight from the drawing and confirm the markings required by your target standard. If the hook will be clipped repeatedly by the end user, consider the auto-locking A304KTL or A304KTL-3 instead.
