A304DKTL measures 180.9 x 79.7 mm and is made from aluminium alloy with a 25 kN breaking strength. Its twist-lock gate is auto-locking: the sleeve is rotated to open the gate, and it springs back into the locked position when let go. This is the indicator version, meaning an indicator element has been added to the standard A304 body.
Twist-lock gates suit users who connect and disconnect many times a day, because they are quicker to operate than a triple lock while still relocking automatically. The swivel head prevents twisting of webbing or cable as the user moves, which is why hooks of this type are common on self-retracting lifelines and on the anchor end of lanyards in construction, scaffolding and maintenance work.
