381 Steel Carabiner, 45 kN, 125 x 80 mm

The 381 carabiner is steel, 11 mm in diameter, 125 mm long and 80 mm wide. Its gate opens to 27 mm and it carries a 45 kN breaking strength, well above the loads a single worker generates in normal fall-protection use, which makes it suitable for multi-component systems.

Typical roles include master points in rescue and haul systems, anchor connectors on structural steel, and links between slings, pulleys and rope devices in rigging. The wide body accommodates several items at once, and steel resists the wear that aluminium connectors suffer when they bear on steel anchors or wire rope.
