The A140-22KSG is forged from aluminium and measures 133 x 73 mm. It opens to 20 mm, has a 30 kN breaking strength and weighs 95 g, which, together with its two sister variants, makes it the lightest hook in this category with a stated weight.
A 95 g, 30 kN hook is useful wherever several connectors are carried at once or the user wears equipment all day, for instance on twin-leg lanyards, work-positioning lanyards and the connector end of retractable lifelines. The 20 mm opening is sized for D-rings, anchor fittings and other connectors rather than for structural members.
A140-22KSG is one of three variants, alongside A140-22KTL and A140-22KTL-3, that share the same frame, strength and weight. Confirm the gate locking mechanism of each variant with the factory and pick the one to match. Also specify finish, colour and the marking your market requires.
