Product details
The SS511 is the single-bolt member of the stainless clip range, made from AISI 304 stainless steel. It is listed for nominal rope diameters of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 mm, with bolt thread d from M4 to M10. Widths b1 and b2, heights h1 and h2 and lengths i1 and i2 are given on the drawing; for the 4 mm size, for example, b1 is 8 mm, b2 18 mm, h1 7 mm, h2 18 mm, i1 20 mm and i2 40 mm.
With one bolt clamping two runs of wire, simplex clips are quick to fit and suit light, non-critical work: hanging displays and signs, trellis and garden wires, small awnings and decorative wire features. For terminations that carry more load, a duplex clip (SS512) or a U-bolt clip (SS9201) is the more usual choice, and any wire carrying a significant load needs a rated termination. Grade 304 handles most outdoor use. No load or efficiency figure is listed.
