With a hook at both ends, the HTE-2H-A103KTL suits tools that already carry a tether point, such as a ring, tail or attachment collar, so no loop needs to be choked around the handle. Each hook is the aluminium A103KTL, rated at 10 kN, and the lanyard is made of 20 mm nylon webbing with a bungee section. Relaxed length including both hooks is 81 cm. A pin-style hook, A103PKTL, is listed as an alternative.
Dropped-object prevention is the purpose here: keeping tools attached for crews working on towers, scaffolds, roofs, bridges and plant platforms. This is not a fall arrest lanyard for people. The 10 kN value describes the hook itself; no tool weight rating is published for the assembled tether, so buyers should state the heaviest tool it must secure and verify that by test.
