Slings, Daisy Chains & Via Ferrata Lanyards
5 products
This category covers sewn webbing products for climbing and mountaineering. The Contact Sling and the SG-1111RB express sling with rubber keeper are made to order in Dyneema or nylon, rated at 22 kN and listed as meeting CE EN 566. The SG-1111 quickdraw sling is offered in 11, 17 and 25 cm lengths, and the Daisy Chain combines a 22 kN overall strength with 3 kN loop strength for aid climbing and gear organisation. The Y-2A729 is a via ferrata lanyard with elastic nylon arms, aluminium palm carabiners and an integrated swivel. In Europe, slings are tested to EN 566 and via ferrata sets to EN 958. All products can be supplied OEM or private label, with material, length, colour and labelling specified by the brand owner.

Frequently asked questions
- Dyneema or nylon: which sling material should I choose?
- Dyneema slings are very light and strong for their width and absorb little water, but they stretch very little and have a low melting point. Nylon slings are heavier and bulkier but stretch more and tolerate heat better. Many brands offer both to cover alpine weight saving and general durability.
- What does EN 566 require?
- EN 566 is the European standard for mountaineering slings and requires a minimum breaking strength of 22 kN. The Contact Sling and SG-1111RB in this range are listed at 22 kN and as meeting CE EN 566.
- Can a daisy chain be used as a personal anchor lanyard?
- Not for fall arrest. A daisy chain's full strength applies end to end, while each pocket is much weaker; the Daisy Chain here lists 3 kN per loop. Clipping one carabiner across two pockets can bypass the main strength if a pocket stitch fails, so user instructions should explain correct use.
- What does a rubber keeper on a quickdraw sling do?
- It holds the rope-end carabiner in position so it stays oriented for clipping and cannot rotate into a cross-loaded position. Instructions should show the carabiner passing through the sewn loop itself, never through the rubber alone.
- What should a sling RFQ include?
- Specify material, width, length, colour, label print, packaging and the standard required for the target market. For via ferrata lanyards, also state the user-weight range and the certification needed. Power Honour can supply the listed products under private label or to a customer drawing.
