Frequently asked questions
- Which harness suits which activity?
- Harnesses with gear loops and padding, such as the HN-AD01 and HN-AD02, suit climbing and rope work. A simple, widely adjustable webbing harness like the HN-AD04 suits zipline and adventure-park operators, and the PH-AD01 is designed for paragliding kiting practice.
- Which standard applies to climbing harnesses?
- In Europe, mountaineering and climbing harnesses are commonly tested to EN 12277, and many brands also follow the corresponding UIAA standard. Work-at-height harnesses and paragliding flight harnesses fall under different standards, so buyers should state the intended use in their RFQ.
- Why offer a choice of padding?
- Different padding materials let a brand position the same harness for different uses, for example a lighter padding for sport climbing or a thicker one for comfort during long periods hanging in the harness. The HN-AD01 and HN-AD02 are listed with two padding types to choose from.
- What should a harness RFQ include?
- Specify the size range, padding choice, webbing and buckle colours, labels, packaging and the standard required for the target market. Power Honour can supply the listed harnesses under private label or adapt them to a customer drawing.
