AWCS-0430 Ring-and-Webbing Cambium Saver
The AWCS-0430 is a cambium saver (friction saver) made of 20 mm nylon webbing with two aluminium O-rings, a large ring of 45 mm ID and a small ring of 28 mm ID. It gives arborists a rope anchor that reduces friction and protects both the climbing rope and the tree's bark.

The AWCS-0430 uses 20 mm wide high-tenacity nylon webbing with a high-strength aluminium O-ring at each end: a large ring with a 45 mm inside diameter and a small ring with a 28 mm inside diameter. The rings are rated at 25 kN and the webbing at 20 kN.
Installed around a branch union, the saver lets the climbing line run through the rings instead of over the bark, which reduces rope wear and friction and limits damage to the cambium layer beneath the bark. Because the small ring passes through the large one, the saver can be retrieved from the ground at the end of the climb. The high-contrast webbing makes it easy to spot in the canopy.
It is intended for professional arboriculture and tree care, stationary rope system (SRS) and moving rope system (MRS) anchors, rope access and technical rigging, and recreational tree climbing.
