Climbing Helmets

2 products

This category covers helmets for climbing, mountaineering and outdoor activity programmes. Both models use a PP (polypropylene) shell and one adjustable size that fits head circumferences from 53 to 61 cm, which simplifies stock for clubs, schools and rental operators. The HT-0802 weighs 330 g, is listed as meeting CE EN 12492 and is offered in red, white, black or other colours; the HT-0801 weighs 350 g and is listed in blue, white and red. In Europe, helmets for mountaineering are tested to EN 12492, which assesses shock absorption, penetration resistance and the strength of the retention system. Both helmets can be supplied OEM or private label, with shell colour, logo printing, padding and packaging specified by the brand owner.

Frequently asked questions

Which standard applies to climbing helmets?
In Europe, mountaineering and climbing helmets are tested to EN 12492, and many brands also follow the corresponding UIAA standard. Industrial safety helmets fall under different standards, so buyers should state the intended use and standard in their RFQ. The HT-0802 is listed as meeting CE EN 12492.
What does one adjustable size cover?
Both helmets adjust from 53 to 61 cm head circumference using a rear adjustment system. That range fits most adults and many teenagers, which is why single-size helmets are popular with clubs, schools and rental fleets.
Why choose a PP shell?
Polypropylene shells are tough and durable, which suits helmets that are used frequently and handled by many people. They are a common choice for everyday and rental helmets, while lighter constructions are often chosen for alpine use where weight matters more.
What should a helmet RFQ include?
State the model, colours and quantities per colour, logo printing positions, padding, packaging and the standard required for the target market. Power Honour can supply the HT-0801 and HT-0802 under private label and quote design modifications to a customer brief.
